AltAM Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026
AltAM ("the app") helps you plan your morning routine and reshuffles it to fit the time you have left
when you're running late. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it stays.
In short
The app does not collect personal information. Your routines and records are stored only on this
device and are never sent to anyone, including the developer. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.
What the app stores on your device
The app stores the following on your device so it can work. None of it leaves the device.
| Information |
Used for |
| Routines (name, departure time, repeat days, alarm settings) and activities (name, planned time, alternatives) |
Planning and scheduling alarms |
| Run records (time each activity took, skipped activities, finish time, whether you made it on time) |
The Records screen, learning your real times, suggestions |
| App settings (theme, notification toggles and similar) |
App behavior |
- To show the widget and the Lock Screen Live Activity, some information such as the next routine's name and
time is kept in a shared storage area on the same device (an App Group). It also stays on the device.
- If iCloud Backup is on, iOS may include this app's data in your iCloud backup along with other apps' data.
That backup is between you and Apple; the developer cannot see it.
Alarms and notifications
Alarms and notifications are scheduled and delivered on the device (AlarmKit on iOS 26 and later, local
notifications on earlier versions). No push server is used. You can turn notification and alarm permissions
off at any time in iPhone Settings.
Exporting a backup
When you tap "Export" in Settings, the app turns your routines and learned times into text (JSON) and hands it
to the iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes (Notes, Mail and so on). Nothing is sent until you choose.
Checking for app updates
When it starts, the app asks Expo's update server (Expo provides the tools the app is built with) whether a
small update to the app's code is available. This request carries the technical information needed to pick an
update (app version, operating system, update channel) and your IP address, which comes with any internet
request. No routines, records or other user data are sent. Expo handles this under the
Expo Privacy Policy.
In-app purchases
AltAM Pro purchases are handled by Apple. Payment details are never passed to the developer. To check whether
Pro is available, the app asks Apple for your purchase status, and stores the result and the time your free
trial started on the device.
Keeping and deleting data
- You can delete a single record on the Records screen and a routine from Edit routine.
- Deleting the app deletes its data from the device, including your routines and records. Only the time your
free trial started stays in the iOS Keychain, so reinstalling doesn't restart the trial. That value also stays
on the device. Nothing remains with the developer.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 14 and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, for example because the app starts collecting something, we will announce it on this
page and in the app update notes before the change takes effect.
